Caring for your flowers

A few simple habits will help your arrangement stay fresh, open beautifully, and last as long as possible.

Start with fresh water

Top up the vessel every day and replace the water completely every two days. Use a clean vase and remove any leaves below the water line.

Give stems a trim

Recut loose bouquet stems at an angle with clean, sharp snips before placing them in water. Trim them again whenever you change the water.

Choose a cool place

Keep flowers away from direct sun, heaters, drafts, and ripening fruit. A bright, cool room without strong sunlight is ideal.

Let the arrangement evolve

Remove individual blooms as they fade and move remaining stems into a smaller vessel. Different varieties naturally open and age at different speeds.
